Octopussy

My original intention was to take something generally considered to be cute and adorable and combine with something usually thought of as grotesque and terrifying.  By combining the two I intended to challenge people’s conceptions.  How does society dictate what is ‘lovable’ and what should be squished under someone’s foot?  I enjoy people’s initial reaction to Octopussy.  It is usually a mixture of repulsion and confusion as if they don’t know how they’re supposed to react.

The tale of Octopussy

It began in a lab in 1940.  The ambitious Dr. Shlagonshlaag decided he wanted to create a creature as cute as a kitten and as scary as the deep sea.  And so Octopussy was born…
